Starting at 3:00 a.m., your adventure begins with a two-hour bus ride to Pitumarca village at 3600 meters above sea level, south of Cusco City. After a brief breakfast stop in Pitumarca, continue by bus for an additional hour and 20 minutes to the starting point of the trek at 6700 meters above sea level. Begin a 45-minute ATV ride to reach the elevated point of 5050 meters above sea level, offering breathtaking views of rainbow hues and snow-capped peaks. Take your time to relax, capture stunning photographs, and savor the splendor of this extraordinary location.
Following the ATV ride, return to the trek’s starting point and board the bus back to Pitumarca village for a satisfying lunch. After lunch, the journey back to Cusco commences, with an estimated arrival time of 4:30 p.m.
Our adventure begins when we pick you up from your hotel at 4.30am. Then we will drive south on the Panamerican Highway for one and a half hours until we reach the district of Cusipata where we will have breakfast and then continue our journey for another half hour passing through Checacupe, Pitumarca, Hanchipacha and then arrive at Kayrahuiri around 9:00am where we will leave the car and continue our adventure on ATV’s, first we will do a practice ride for about 20 minutes.
Then we continue our ATV route to Rainbow Mountain itself for about 30 minutes driving slowly uphill (no running) and at about 10:00 we arrive at our destination, the Rainbow Mountain, where we have 40 minutes to explore the place.
On our return from the Rainbow Mountain we will do it by ATV for another 30 minutes until we reach the car park and then we will board our private transport back to Cusco.
Our return trip will take one and a half hours until we reach the district of Cusipata, where we will enjoy a buffet lunch at 14:00 in the assigned restaurant, and then return to Cusco for another one and a half hours, where we will make our last stop at the Plaza Regocijo in Cusco, where we will say goodbye.
If you want to make the most of the day and have more time to enjoy the scenery, we can leave an hour earlier than scheduled and arrive a little later in the evening, please indicate this when making your reservation.
