Huchuy Qosqo means “little Cusco” in Quechua. The site sits at about 3,600 m and keeps terraces, adobe halls and a great hall of the Inca period, reached only on foot. The trek crosses high grassland and descends by an Inca path to the village of Lamay in the Sacred Valley. It is moderate and a very good first trek before the Inca Trail or Salkantay.
