The tour Machu Picchu by car started in 1999 like and alternative route due to train limitations that drive past the town of Aguas Calientes, when you go on this tour of Machu Picchu by car you will be contributing to the development of different towns that exist throughout this journey. By taking this tour of Machu Picchu by car you will experience the landscapes full of beautiful scenery and snowcaps like Chicon, Salkantay and Veronica that show our Peruvian Andean highlands with paved roads and very friendly people.
Itinerary Machu Picchu By Car 2 Days / 1 Night
DAY 1: CUSCO – HIDROELECTRIC – AGUAS CALIENTES (MACHUPICCHU BY CAR)
We will come pick you up from you place of staying or at a meeting point between 6:00 – 7:00 am to then begin the tour of Machu Picchu by aguas-calientes Car, we will ride by the Sacred Valley, during this trip we will be able to appreciate different towns and climate changes of the andes to the tropical places, we will get to Santa teresa , and finally we will continue our tour by driving to Hidroelectrica,here we have a Lunch and then we gonna start the hike until the town of Aguas Calientes; the walk will be approximately 2 1/2 hours.
When we get to the town of Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu), once you arrive to Aguas Calienteswill be directed to your accommodation with a private bathroom and hot water, we will have dinner at night and at that time our guide will give you general information about our visit to Machu Picchu, The city of the Inca, you have the option to go to the hot springs.
DAY 2: VISIT OF THE SANTUARY OF MACHU PICCHU – RETURN TO HIDROELECTRIC – CUSCO (MACHU PICCHU BY CAR)
We will wake up around 4:30 am, then we will go to the bus station to take the first bus to go Machu Picchu the point of this is so we can appreciate the sunrise from the city of the Inca and be the first ones to get to the top, we will have a guided tour inside Machu Picchu, and after you will have free time to explore on your own.
After our visit to Machu Picchu, around 11:00 am we will take the bus back to the Inca Brigde stop there, then you will continue walking to hydroelectric where our transport will be waiting for us at 2:00pm to head back to the city of Cusco, this Machu Picchu by car tour will be arriving at Cusco around 9:00 pm.
