The Humantay Lagoon Tour 1 Day, consists of a visit to a turquoise lagoon that lies at the foot of the imposing snow-capped Humantay. This magical place is an amazing example of the beauty of nature in its purest state.

As you make your way up the mountains, you will witness the transformation of the landscapes, from the green valleys to the tranquility of the lagoon with crystalline waters.

From the Humantay Lagoon, you will be rewarded with impressive panoramic views of the surroundings, including the majestic Humantay snow-capped peak. You will have the opportunity to contemplate the impressive mountainous landscape of the Salkantay mountain range

Itinerary Humantay Lake Full Day

DAY 1: HUMANTAY LAKE (SALKANTAY TREK)

After we pick you up at your hotel, we will start our adventure to the Humantay Lake with a 3-hour-drive in private transport to Soraypampa (3850 m.a.s.l.). Soraypampa is the campsite for the first day of the Salkantay trek.In Mollepata town we will have a delicious breakfast to start our day well before beginning our trek. In Soraypampa we will start our trek up to the Humantay Lake (4200 m.a.s.l.) with beautiful views and if the sky is clear enough, we can see the impressive snow-capped Salkantay and Humantay lake. It is a 1.5-hour-walk to the lake with a low to moderate difficulty, and more than worth it when you see the magical view. It is also possible to rent a horse instead. We will have enough time to take pictures, bring an offer to the Apus, and for the real brave ones; swimming in the lake when it’s sunny! After some free time, we will start our descent to Soraypampa of about 1.5 hours, which is a lot easier than the way up. In Mollepata lunch will await us and after some rest we return to Cusco where we will arrive at 6 pm.

Visitamos el Monasterio de Santa Catalina, disfrutamos de la vista del Misti y vimos cóndores sobrevolando el cañón. La combinación de actividades al aire libre, como el ciclismo de montaña, la caminata por la selva, el rafting y la tirolesa, fue perfecta para nosotros. Lo mejor de todo fueron nuestras guías, Leidy y Karen, siempre estaban de buen ánimo, sus explicaciones eran buenísimas y muy descriptivas e interesantes, muy profesionales.
